How-to
Pause or resume a connector
Stop a connector temporarily and start it again
What you'll achieve
A connector temporarily stopped (paused) or started again (resumed) — without deleting anything or losing its configuration.
Before you start
- Your role badge says Developer or higher and the environment allows changes — in a read-only environment only admins can pause or resume.
- Only a RUNNING connector can be paused, and only a PAUSED one can be resumed.
Steps
- Click Connectors in the sidebar and find the connector in the list.
- In its Actions column, click the pause icon (hover text: "Pause connector") — or, on a paused connector, the play icon ("Resume connector"). The same controls exist as Pause / Resume buttons on the connector's own page.
- Several at once? Tick the checkboxes in front of the connectors and use the Pause / Resume buttons above the table — a confirmation window summarises what will happen.
What success looks like
A confirmation like "Connector pause action completed successfully" appears and the status badge flips to PAUSED — or back to RUNNING after a resume. A paused connector keeps its configuration and continues where it left off when resumed.
Something went wrong?
- The icon is greyed out with "Action is disabled for this environment" — the environment is read-only or your role is Viewer; ask your team's admin.
- The bulk Pause button stays disabled — every selected connector must be eligible (all RUNNING to pause, all PAUSED to resume); deselect the odd ones out.
- The badge shows FAILED instead — that's not paused; see Check why a connector is failing.
